HELP WANTED: Lend a Hand at the FLOC Sale

FOR THE LOVE OF CLOTH, our 3rd annual decorator fabric sale, is coming up fast and we need your help. TMC Volunteers, Museum members, family, friends and students are welcome to help out during the sale in a variety of roles:

• Thursday, Oct. 28: In the evening, we need four strong, young people to help load, unload and set up the sale

• Friday, Oct. 29 shifts: 8 – 11 am (set up); 11am – 2 pm; 2 – 5 pm

• Saturday, Oct. 30 shifts: 11 am – 2 pm; 2 – 6 pm (clean up: four young people needed)

• Driver: We have recruited one driver for the truck, but would welcome an experienced alternate

• Food: We are looking for people who are interested in helping out and learning the job.

For more information and to sign up, please contact Strand News.

Publicity: Help us get the word out. Grab a few of the small flyers from the Museum’s front desk and distribute them at your local community centre, library, retail stores and arts & crafts groups. You can also download the FOR THE LOVE OF CLOTH 2010 FLYER and forward it to family and friends who might be interested in coming to the sale.

Made By A Volunteer: We are still looking for items to be sold under the Made By A Volunteer label: scarves, bags, socks, headbands, belts, table runners, placemats, mini-quilts, felted art pieces, beaded earrings… the list is endless. If you are interested in donating your work, please contact Strand News. All proceeds go to support the Museum.
