Bargains in the Basement

Our Bargain Bolts sale on Feb. 5 was a great success.

Our thanks to the donor who made this sale possible with a generous gift. Her fabric was purchased by grateful students and avid sewers who had the opportunity to choose from a wide range of beautiful colours and textures.

Thanks also to everyone who contributed. Fourteen people came out to help on the day of the sale, and there were many others who helped ahead of time and behind the scenes with publicity and tweeting. A note of gratitude as well to TMC staff (Alex Lopes) who prepared our beautiful publicity posters and flyers, and to Judy Szende who took the photographs for the publicity material.

Proceeds from the sale will support the Textile Museum of Canada’s many activities. Museum executive director Shauna McCabe expressed her thanks and gratitude to TMC Volunteers for their energy, creativity and commitment to the Museum.
