VOLUNTEER ASSOCIATION | Textile Museum of Canada
Pick your colours and bring your fabric swatches to For the Love of Cloth on Friday, October 19 and Saturday, October 20 at the Textile Museum of Canada. We have a wonderful selection of fabrics from our primary donor, Primavera, with exciting additions from Keilhauer, Robert Allen and Gwendolyne Hats. All proceeds benefit the Textile Museum of Canada.
Our fabric comes in all sizes: smaller pieces, beautiful panels, and lots of bolts. There will be a table of beads and jewellery. This year’s sale also features embroidery from Hungary, decorative hand-stitched molas from Panama and small Afghan rugs.
Our sale takes place at the Textile Museum of Canada (55 Centre Ave., Toronto). Start with our sidewalk sale for bargain bolts, lengths and lots of small pieces for craftwork. Go into the Museum for fine silks, linen, brocade, and printed cottons from Europe. Look for embroidery on the Mezzanine. Beads and Afghan rugs outside the shop.
Free entry to the Museum during the sale.
Whether you’re planning to upholster a chair, create a wall hanging, make a hat or bag, or sew new cushion covers, this is a not-to-be missed event. Get a jump on your future gift list by using our bargain fabrics. Ask our volunteers for advice for your project.
A special note of thanks to everyone who makes For the Love of Cloth possible, including our donors, sponsors and supporters:
