A Very Special Donation

Expect the unexpected at More Than Just a Yardage Sale. This year Mae and Leonard Fine of Marni Knits have donated a rich assortment of yarns for knitters and weavers. Now in their nineties, the Fines are retiring from their 50-year-old business, seven of which were spent at their Dufferin Street showroom. The yarns were used in high-end women’s clothing made on-site for Holt Renfrew and other specialty shops. The Fines are happy to know that the Textile Museum will benefit from the sale of their yarns, notions and buttons on May 24 and 25.
