Sheila Thompson at Art Walk North

Sheila Thompson, fibre artist, is one of 60 artists participating in the new Art Walk North exhibition and sale that is taking place in Mel Lastman Square this Friday (Aug. 16) and Saturday (Aug. 17). There will be food and music to enjoy besides the lovely art. Be sure to visit Sheila at booth # 57.

Sheila has created a few new pieces for the show – some new concepts incorporating porcupine quills, tiny midden-like tops of trees, bright blue skies and hills and more rivers. There are just a few remaining Leaves on Ice left (fine, icy, translucent felt with embedded washi paper and leaf skeletons). Leaf skeletons are hard to come by so these will be disappearing for a while.
