2014 World of Threads Festival

The World of Threads Festival is a showcase of local, national and international contemporary fibre and textile art. The show is based in Oakville, and this year there is also a show in Mississauga, Ont.

Sheila Thompson: Convergence

TMC Volunteer Sheila Thompson has a piece called Convergence in the World of Threads’ The Red and The Black exhibition. The piece is made from merino wool, alpaca and silk. Click here to read an interview with Sheila.

Come see 255 artworks by 97 artists from 12 countries.

Main Festival Opening Reception: Sat. Nov. 1, 2014, 2- 4 pm.
Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre in Oakville

The Festival runs Nov. 1 – 30, 2014, and admission is free.
