Beach Studio Tour

Sheila Thompson

The Beach Studio Tour starts today and runs through the weekend.

Be sure to stop by Studio #2 (343 Waverley Rd.), where you’ll find TMC Volunteer Sheila Thompson.

Sheila is a Toronto Beach-based felt artist, citizen scientist, and at heart a biogeographer. Sheila’s medium is fine wool and silk felt created using the wet felting method – fibres are her paint.

“I am working on some new ideas involving knitted fine copper wire and the concept of hidden / vanishing landscapes, including one about native prairies and the hidden buffalo landscapes,” says Sheila. Click here to see Sheila’s full profile.

Beach Studio Tour
Friday, Oct. 24: 6-9 pm
Saturday, Oct. 25: 10 am – 6 pm
Sunday, Oct. 26: 11 am – 6 pm
