Watercolour: Produced by the Textile Museum of Canada and presented in partnership with the Toronto 2015 Pan Am/Parapan American Games

July 14-17, 2015

Celebrating the culture and artistry of Pan American nations, Watercolour showcased 41 sails featuring artwork by one artist from each country participating in the Games. Selected by the Museum’s curatorial team, the sails were presented along the waterfront from Harbourfront Centre to Sugar Beach over four evenings in groups of 11 laser boats, with Canada in the lead position each night. The Museum’s ongoing work with contemporary artists and global cultural traditions informed the project, a tribute to the universal experiences and imaginations that inspire everyone – artists to athletes – to achieve their dreams.
