The Textile Museum of Canada relies on the dedication, knowledge and talent of more than 130 volunteers. The number of hours that TMC Volunteers collectively contribute to the Museum is equal to nine full-time staff positions. New volunteers are always welcome. The Museum offers opportunities to interact with the public and work with TMC staff in the follow areas:
• Reception
• Docents
• Volunteer Educators
• Museum Shop
• Collection Volunteers
• H.N. Pullar Library
• Special Events
• Development and Marketing
If you’re a member of the Textile Museum of Canada and would like to become a TMC Volunteer, visit the Textile Museum website.
New TMC Volunteers are asked to take the Ontario Ministry of Community and Social Services’ online training in Accessibility Standards for Customer Service. The training is free and takes about 40 minutes to complete.
