Dr. Shauna McCabe, a distinguished curator and professor of visual arts, joined the Textile Museum of Canada as executive director on July 15. Professor McCabe comes to the TMC from Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick, where she held the Canada Research Chair in Critical Theory in the Interpretation of Culture. In her curatorial career, she has served as director of The Rooms Provincial Art Gallery in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, and as senior curator of the Confederation Centre of the Arts in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.
